This limited edition timepiece is within a collection to commemorate the 145th Anniversary of the beginnings of Seiko as a Tokyo clock and watch repair shop in 1881. Introduced in 1969, the Seiko Speedtimer was a major milestone in chronograph innovation, and marked the beginning of an important decade of the Speedtimer in its prime. It features a dial colour known as ‘Edo Murasaki’ or ‘Edo Purple,’ which is a traditional Japanese colour that symbolises hope for the future, and the refined beauty of the Edo period in Tokyo.
